Prof. Liang Hu

Tongji University, China

Biography: Prof. Liang Hu obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Application Technology from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as well as a Ph.D. in Analytics from the University of Technology Sydney and the Advanced Analytics Institute (AAI) in Australia. Research areas include recommendation systems, machine learning, deep learning, data science, and interdisciplinary-inspired and integrated intelligent technologies. I have published over 40 high-level academic papers in various research directions such as cross-domain learning, multimodal learning, complex relationship learning, behavior sequence analysis and prediction, multi-objective optimization, etc., including more than 20 A-class publications of the Chinese Computer Society (CCF), more than 10 CCF B and JCR regional publications, including WWW, IJCAI, AAAI, ICDM, ICWS, TOIS, TKDE, IEEE IS, etc.

He served as a member of the Program Committee at numerous high-level international conferences on artificial intelligence (IJCAI, AAAI, ICDM, CIKM, KDD, etc.) and as a reviewer for over ten renowned international journals related to artificial intelligence and data science, including the ACM Computing Survey, IEEE TKDE, ACM TOIS, IEEE TPAMI, etc. Organized multiple workshops and special sessions on artificial intelligence, neural networks, and recommendation systems as co-chairs at renowned international academic conferences such as IEEE ICDM and DSAA. In addition, multiple tutorial presentations on intelligent recommendation systems were conducted at top AI and data science conferences such as IJCAI, AAAI, KDD, and ICDM. Based on their contributions, they have been awarded more than ten scientific research academic awards and selected as high-level overseas talents in Shanghai, as well as the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Outstanding Youth Science Fund project (overseas).

Prof. Wenhua Qian

Yunnan University, China

BiographyProfessor Wenhua Qian serves as the Vice Dean of the School of Information Technology and holds the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at Southeast University. His outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of academia and research have been widely recognized, earning him prestigious accolades such as Reserve Talent for Young and Middle-Aged Academic and Technical Leaders in Yunnan Province and Top Young Talents in Yunnan as part of the Yunling Series Ten Thousand Talents Plan.

Professor Qian is a core member of the School of Information Technology's Characteristic Research Direction "Graphics and Image Processing", showcasing his expertise and leadership in this specialized area. He has been selected for esteemed programs including the Yunnan Province Outstanding Youth Training Program and the Yunnan University Backbone Teacher Training Program, further highlighting his dedication to academic excellence and professional development.

Additionally, Professor Qian holds significant roles in various professional organizations, including being a Senior Member of the Chinese Computer Society, Director of the Chinese Image and Graphics Society, and Member of several specialized committees focusing on computer vision, digital entertainment, and education. His editorial contributions to the Chinese Journal of Image and Graphics demonstrate his commitment to advancing research and knowledge dissemination in his field.

Furthermore, Professor Qian's leadership abilities have been recognized through his past role as the Chairman of the Yunnan YOCSEF Kunming Branch Forum of the Chinese Computer Society. His extensive involvement in these prestigious organizations and committees underscores his prominence in the field of information technology and his dedication to advancing research and education within this domain.

Prof. Daowen Qiu

Sun Yat-sen University, China


Biography: Dr. Daowen Qiu is a highly accomplished individual with a Ph.D. in Science and extensive experience in the field of quantum computing and quantum information. He currently serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Computer Science at Sun Yat-sen University, following his postdoctoral fellowship at Tsinghua University's Department of Computer Science. With over 20 years of dedicated research in quantum computing, Dr. Qiu has made significant contributions to various areas within the field.

Dr. Qiu's research focuses on quantum computing models, quantum query algorithms, quantum distributed algorithms, semi-quantum key distribution, incompleteness problems in quantum information, fuzzy and probabilistic automata, and discrete event systems. His pioneering work has resulted in the publication of over 180 academic papers, showcasing his expertise and impact in the academic community.

In addition to his research achievements, Dr. Qiu holds esteemed editorial positions in multiple academic journals in computer science, including serving as a deputy editor-in-chief for the prestigious journal Theoretical Computer Science. His contributions as a researcher, educator, and academic editor underscore his commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of quantum computing and beyond.

Overall, Dr. Daowen Qiu's significant research outcomes cover a wide range of areas, including quantum models of computation, quantum query algorithms, quantum cryptography and communication, quantum states distinguishability and cloning, and the theory of computation based on quantum and lattice-valued logic. His work also extends to the applications of fuzzy and probabilistic automata in discrete event systems, with a focus on diagnosability and supervisory control. Dr. Qiu's comprehensive expertise and contributions demonstrate his leadership and impact in the realm of quantum computing and related disciplines.

Prof. Bin Shi

Wuhan University of Technology, China

BiographyProf. Bin Shi, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Chutian Student from Hubei Province, Vice Dean of the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence. I graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree from the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Nanjing University, and a doctoral degree from the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton in the UK. I also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Southampton. Dr. Shi Bing is a member of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE), the International Computer Society (ACM), and the Chinese Computer Society (CCF), mainly engaged in research related to artificial intelligence and service computing. He has published more than 30 articles in recommended conferences and journals of the Chinese Computer Society (CCF), and is a member of the Program Committee of the authoritative conference on multi-agent systems AAMAS 2017-2022. He also undertakes the review work of multiple journals.

Assoc. Prof. Weifeng Zhong

Guangdong University of Technology, China

Biography: Weifeng Zhong is currently an associate professor at Guangdong University of Technology, China. He was listed among the world's top 2% of scientists by Stanford University. He received his Ph.D. degree from Guangdong University of Technology in 2019. He was a visiting scholar with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a visiting student with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong. His research interests include smart grids and computing power networks. He published more than 50 research papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings. He won four Best Paper Awards at international conferences. He is a Youth Editorial Member of Computer Engineering (in Chinese). He was a co-chair and TPC member of IEEE iThings, IEEE VTC, IEEE WCNC, IEEE Globecom, etc.
